how did Good Vibes Leather start?
Growing up in California "good vibes" was a big phrase people referred to in various ways, so naturally I make the products with good vibes!
I first got in to making leather goods when I studied as a Uni student in Japan! One day I walked to the train station where they were selling scrap leather pieces. I decided to buy some and challenged myself to make a wallet which came out horribly! But the feeling I received after making something I could use was something that drew me into the rabbit hole of creating. Meeting many great people along the way that gave me more information and ideas really helped along the way. Since 2019 I have been perfecting my skills and finally launching them on this website to share with everyone. I make all products by hand with love and passion for this craft. What brings me joy is knowing that someone is using products that I created.
